COPD OR CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE (COPD) is known to be affecting  More than 11 million people yearly an estimated 24 million may have the disease and not even know it The risk if women contracting it is higher than in men.

COPD CAN LEAD TO LUNG DISEASES SUCH AS EMPHYSEMA

LOOK for these Signs and Symptoms of COPD

Chronic cough

Shortness of breath while doing everyday activities (dyspnea)

Frequent respiratory infections

Blueness of the lips or fingernail beds (cyanosis)

Fatigue

Producing a lot of mucus (also called phlegm or sputum)

Wheezing

Some people don’t Get symptoms of COPD until the later stages of the disease.

One of the best ways to avoid COPD is to STOP SMOKING.
